How we use AI
Last updated: October 12, 2026
Where we use it
Only in AI practice, part of Oratio Pro. You choose a respectful skeptic, such as an honest agnostic, a scientist or a friend of another faith, and practice explaining your faith. When you finish, a coach reviews the conversation and gives you feedback on clarity, logic, evidence, listening and tone. The model is Claude, by Anthropic.
Where we don't
The devotionals, the answers to objections, the learning paths and the calendar are written and reviewed by people. Bible texts are never generated or translated by AI.
You always know
Every AI conversation begins with a clear notice that you are talking with an AI that can make mistakes, as required by the European Union's AI Act. The skeptics are fictional characters; they never impersonate real people.
Respect and safety
- The AI is instructed to present the strongest version of each argument without mocking anyone's beliefs.
- Disputes between Christian traditions are outside the purpose of the practice.
- If a message suggests you may be in crisis, the practice stops and we show you where to find help.
- You can report any reply with one tap. We review every report.
Your data
We send Anthropic only the conversation itself and the answer cards it is based on, never your name, email, Apple identifier or tradition. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not use this data to train its models. We delete conversations from our servers after 30 days. Please don't share sensitive personal information in these conversations. See our privacy policy.
Limits
AI practice is a training tool, not a source of doctrine or professional advice. Pro includes a monthly fair-use allowance of conversations.
